Established in 1996, Penzance Veterinary Clinic is a trusted small-animal practice in the heart of Hout Bay, conveniently situated on Main Road at the foot of Chapman’s Peak. We care for pets from Hout Bay, Llandudno, Camps Bay, Constantia, Noordhoek and surrounding areas.

Our experienced veterinary team provides comprehensive care for dogs and cats, as well as selected small furry and exotic pets, including rabbits, hamsters and birds.

From preventative healthcare and vaccinations to advanced diagnostics, medical treatment and surgery, we offer a wide range of veterinary services under one roof. When your pet needs specialised care, we also work closely with a trusted network of veterinary specialists throughout Cape Town.

Penzance Veterinary Clinic was founded in 1996 by Dr Bruce Stevens and has grown into an established part of the Hout Bay community. In 2013, the practice was taken over by Dr Stephan Mauch and Dr Brendan Brady, who have continued to develop the clinic and expand the services we offer.

Dr Sophia Moosa joined the practice in 2018, and Dr Vivek Nana has since become an important part of our growing veterinary team.

Our approach combines up-to-date veterinary medicine and modern diagnostic and surgical facilities with something equally important: knowing our patients and their families.

Because every pet is different, we take the time to listen, explain and develop a treatment plan that is right for you and your pet.
